Rome

The Samnites war (343 - 341 BCE) 

Rome had a city state ask if they would help against the Samnites. Rome wanted to expand there territory so they agreed to assist Capua. Rome went into war with the Samnites and won. Capua was defended by the Roman empire. The unfortunat Samnites signed a peace treaty with rome and joined their empire.

The latin war (340 - 338 BCE)

The Lattins became worried of how strong Rome was becoming so they entered a war with them, but soon lost to the powerful Roman empire.
